Unesco World Heritage Status for Maputo National Park and Ponta do Ouro Marine Reserve.

On 1st June 2025 in celebration of Children’s Day, the Colina Verde team baked 350 cupcakes and served a delicious lunch to every student at the local school.

A giant trevally first tagged by Graham Pollard in June 2019 on a reef off Santa Maria has now been recaptured twice—by Barry de Beer in August 2022 and again in April 2024 by an angler on Branden Brodell’s boat.

One of the highlights of a stay at Colina Verde is our vibrant Mozambique Evening — a celebration of local culture, flavour, and rhythm.

There’s nothing quite like the magic of a sunset dhow sail at Colina Verde. As the day begins to soften, guests set off on a traditional wooden dhow, gliding across the calm waters with a gentle ocean breeze.

We’re proud to support the Oceanic Research Institute’s fish tagging project, which involves tagging specific fish species before release.

Each year towards December we host a day where our team can bring their families to enjoy Colina Verde.
